I would tell you about my weekend...

But if I were to get a little happy about a perspective suitor, and talk about him, he would strangely disappear, so instead...

Can anyone help me buy a digital camera?

I am wanting to buy one. I think I need at least 3 megapixels, would 4 megapix be worth the price difference? And I know I should buy re-chargeable batteries right away. What about a memory card? I know both of my brothers got memory cards with their cameras. Also, what else do I need?

In further news...

It was a really good thing that I join Weight Watchers meetings. I journaled the day I joined, and nothing since. I have good intentions. I just forget until I am all cozy in bed, or I have no idea what to put down, because I ate some exotic treat at a restaurant and don't even know where to begin--so I say, Screw it! And move on. Maybe I should go back on the Dexatrim. KIDDING!!! (But I keep meeting buff, athletic, outdoorsey guys online. I GOTTA do something about this!)

  • Put your journal in a really obvious place - or just keep a notebook and write your bites and figure points later. If nothing else- even if you do it the next day - you start to get a better perspective on when you eat within points and when you don't.
As for the camera, I don't have one, but when I do buy one it will be important that it have both kinds of zoom (of course I can't remember what they are). One is the zoom feature like a normal camera has that lets you zoom in before you take the shot. The other lets you zoom the picture before you print, etc (I think). Anyway, some cameras don't have both....That's all I know : )

  • Oh, Bethy-poo, you know I'm a tech nerd. How much are you willing to spend, and I'll find you a camera. Depending on what you want to do with it, the jump from 3 MP to a 4 MP could really be worth it. The one I brought to wrestling was a 5 MP, but I don't think you got to look at it.

Anyway, yeah, you are probably going to want to get a memory card. Most cameras come with one, but they are usually small. If you don't plan on taking a lot of pictures at one time, that is fine...

Get extra batteries! It's always a good idea to have some already charged because cameras suck the life out of them before you know it. This way, you can charge while you shoot or have a backup ready.

  • I just recently bought a new digital camera after a lot of research.
I was going with something bigger than what I already had.
If I had to, I would buy the same one all over again. I love it. Great features and it was around $400 (with the memory stick).
It is a 3.2 megapix/12x optical (what you use to zoom before you take the pic) and a 4x digital zoom (what you use with an editing program).
It takes awesome pictures and the prints that I had made for Jessie's school project came out wonderfully.
I have a rechargable battery with a spare. I would never suggest to anyone to get one that you use batteries that you throw away. I did get an extra memory card. My camera did come with an internal memory card but it wasn't going to be enough.

Good luck...now I want to hear the boy stories!
